Enrollment Services

Improve Student Retention and Yield

Qualitative research is at the core of Jill's Enrollment Services. If the school cannot deliver on its brand promises, articulate its value proposition, or struggles to attract talented faculty and mission-appropriate students, you will see an increase in attrition. Although you may have conducted interviews with families to determine the causes of attrition or why they did not choose your school, you will rarely get the whole story.

Her research recommendations can inform strategic iniatives to increase retention of students and families, increase internal positive word-of-mouth, and decrease attrition.

Jill uses several proprietary systems for her research methodology. Each study includes detailed reporting and recommendations:

  • The Insight Study process is a comprehensive series of focus groups and individual interviews with each current constituency of the school.

  • The Conversion Study is a process to investigate why some accepted families chose another school.

  • The Mid-Funnel Study is a process to investigate why some families inquired but chose not to apply to your school.

  • The Attrition Study is a process to investigate attrition among current or recent families, or faculty.

  • The School-Wide Approach takes enrollment management beyond the admissions office. It involves facilitation and management of a Task Force of leaders at your school to prioritize, develop, and implement solutions recommended by JGC as a result of research conducted.

Programs can be modified, combined, and re-imagined, creating a bespoke solution to your school's needs.

In our decision to engage Jill, we were looking for someone who had a deep understanding of independent schools and was interested in including and managing many voices as we crafted strategies and action plans that would allow us to reach our enrollment goal.  Her research, insights, and thoughtful guidance helped us develop a cross-divisional strategy to move us forward together.”
